Kaiser Permanente selected Thuy Melvin, MD, to lead the group's Northern Virginia division as physician-in-chief.
In her new role, Dr. Melvin will manage approximately 550 physicians, lead clinical operations at the group's 13 medical centers in the state and oversee the health system's virtual care services, according to a Jan. 10 news release from the organization's Mid-Atlantic medical group.
