7 recent physician C-suite appointments

Here are seven physicians who have taken on C-suite roles reported by Becker’s since March 2:

1. Lorna Gober, MD, was named chief medical officer of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth’s Northwest network. 

2. VarmX, a biotechnology company focused on the development of therapies to reverse blood coagulation, named Jeffery Lawson, MD, PhD, its chief scientific officer. 

3. Maternova, a marketplace for maternal and neonatal medical products, selected Gabriela Salvador, MD, as its new CEO and member of its board of directors. 

4. Mill Brown, MD, was named chief medical officer of Spring Health, the developer of a digital mental healthcare platform.

5. Anita Toussi, MD, PhD, was named chief medical officer of the Centura St. Catherine Hospitals of Southwest Kansas. 

6. Mark Freeman, MD, was selected as the new chief medical adviser for bioskills training and cadaver lab Axis Research & Technologies. 

7. Srdan Verstovsek, MD, PhD, was appointed chief medical officer of Kartos Therapeutics, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for patients with cancer.
