Kartos Therapeutics names Dr. Srdan Verstovsek chief medical officer

Srdan Verstovsek, MD, PhD, has been appointed chief medical officer of Kartos Therapeutics, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for patients with cancer.

Dr. Verstovsek joins Kartos with decades of experience as a physician-scientist, according to a March 2 release. He has been affiliated with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston since 1988 as a hematologist-oncologist and professor of medicine.

Dr. Verstovsek has also served as director of the Hanns A. Pielenz Clinical Research Center for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, the world’s largest MPN clinical research center.
