Dr. Salvador was previously the senior vice president of global operations at Americares, according to a March 8 news release. Prior to that, she was the senior director of health at the Grameen Foundation and Freedom From Hunger.
She currently serves on the board of advisers for Care 2 Communities and Linked Foundation. She has also served as the chief health and human development officer for Pro Mujer and has provided pediatric ophthalmology care for patients in Argentina, the U.S. and Mexico.
Dr. Salvador succeeds Prakash Veenam, who will now serve as the senior vice president of operations.
