5 leadership moves in October

  1. Henri Ford, MD, was named the 104th president of the American College of Surgeons.
  2. Brian Hoberman, MD, was added to the Permanente Federation as executive president, chief information officer and national information technology leader. 
  3. Healthcare technology company ModMed announced the four recipients of its inaugural Healthcare Excellence in Refining Operations, or HERO, award. 
  4. Kevin Ban, MD, executive vice president and global chief medical officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance, joined the advisory board of medtech company Ixlayer. 
  5. Jonathan Clarke, MD, was named chief medical officer for Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco, both in Texas.
