Here are eight stats highlight the nursing shortage that physician leaders need to know:

Molecular science and technology healthcare company Caris Life Sciences has appointed George Sledge, MD, as an executive vice president and its chief medical officer. 

Cynthia Matossian, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of Visiox Pharma, an ophthalmic drug company. 

Luna Mehrain, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of maternal and infant health company Maternova.
