Anthony Hatcher, DO, has been named CEO of Hillcrest Health Services, a healthcare provider for aging adults based in Bellevue, Neb.

Here are eight leaders who have taken on or stepped down from CEO roles reported by Becker's since Aug. 11:

HealthCare Partners IPA is the largest independent physician group in the country, according to a July 26 report from Definitive Healthcare. 

Chief nurse anesthetist is the best-paying nurse job, with an average annual salary of $211,500, according to a report on Nursing Process. 

Many physician leaders feel noncompetes, which prohibit physicians from joining a competing practice or setting up their own within a particular geographic distance from their previous practice for a certain period of time, are stifling physician autonomy. 

 Four physicians and one certified registered nurse anesthetist joined Becker's to discuss the hardest choices they have had to make in their careers.

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery has named Daniel Green, MD, and David Mayman, MD, as chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery and chief of adult joint replacement and reconstruction, respectively. 

David Zaas, MD, has been appointed president of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Boris Pasche, MD, PhD, has been appointed president and CEO of Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit.
