Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute names president, CEO

Boris Pasche, MD, PhD, has been appointed president and CEO of Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit.

Dr. Pasche joins Karmanos from Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, N.C., where he served as the Charles L. Spurr endowed chair of cancer research, chair of the cancer biology department and director of the comprehensive cancer center, according to an Aug. 7 news release. 

In addition to his new role as president and CEO, Dr. Pasche will also serve as chair of the department of oncology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, also in Detroit. He will assume these roles Aug. 28, the release said.
