Dr. Zaas most recently served as CEO for the Medical University of South Carolina Health Charleston division and the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in Charleston, according to an Aug. 8 news release.
In addition to serving as president for the largest employer in the region, Dr. Zaas will also teach as a professor of internal medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, also in Winston-Salem.
