Optum Health's former CEO Wyatt Decker, MD, is transitioning into the role of chief physician at UnitedHealth Group.
Dr. Decker announced the transition in a July 19 LinkedIn post. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening UnitedHealth Group's value-based care capabilities and innovative clinical solutions.
"On a personal note, it has been a great honor leading Optum Health for nearly five years. Being part of an organization that has matured into a leading national integrated care platform has been one of the greatest experiences in my life," Dr. Decker said in the post.
Optum Health recently named Amar Desai, MD, CEO.
