Optum Health, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group's Optum, has named Amar Desai, MD, CEO.
Dr. Desai announced his new role on LinkedIn July 19.
Dr. Desai previously served as president for healthcare delivery at CVS Health, according to Optum's website. He first joined Optum in 2019 as the president of HealthCare Partners before becoming president and CEO of Optum Pacific West.
In his LinkedIn post, he stated that he is "thrilled to be back at Optum."
