7 new chief medical officers in September

Here are seven chief medical officer appointments reported by Becker’s in September:

 1. David Rice, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of the acute care division at King of Prussia, Pa.-based United Health Services.

 2. Connie Hwang, MD, joined personalized healthcare company Accolade as its chief medical officer.

 3. Melissa Kizilos, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of Blue Cross of Idaho. 

 4. Lara Johnson, MD, was appointed by Lubbock, Texas-based Covenant Health as the chief medical officer of its Lubbock service area.

 5. Hyoseong Nuna Kim, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in New York City.

 6. Hyong Kim, MD, has returned as chief medical officer of Orange, Calif.-based Alignment Health. Dr. Kim previously served as chief medical officer from 2013 to 2018.

 7. Jennifer Cohen, MD, was named chief medical officer for the Connecticut Institute for Communities, a Danbury-based organization that provides communities with health, education and housing services.
