10 recent C-suite moves

Here are 10 physicians entering positions in the C-suite Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 17:

  1. Indianapolis-based Riley Children’s Health named Dr. Mara Nitu as chief medical officer and Elaine Cox, MD, as chief physician executive.
  2. Hicuity Health, a provider-to-provider telemedicine services innovator, added Young Ahn, MD, as its chief medical officer. Dr. Ahn is an anesthesiology and critical care specialist.
  3. Kevin Heller, MD, was named chief medical officer of Tallac Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company.
  4. AposHealth, a musculoskeletal medical device company, selected Harry Leider, MD, as its next chief medical officer and executive vice president. 
  5. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock appointed Michelle Krause, MD, chief executive officer for UAMS Medical Center and senior vice chancellor for UAMS Health and Dr. Ahmed Abuabdou as chief clinical officer for UAMS Medical Center.
  6. Mental health biopharmaceutical company Reunion Neuroscience tapped Robert Alexander, MD, as its chief medical officer.
  7. Lawrence, Kan.-based LMH Health selected Kirk Sloan, MD, as its new chief medical officer, effective March 6. 
  8. Thuy-Anh Melvin, MD, was named physician-in-chief for Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente’s Northern Virginia service area.
