The medical group has been in operation since 1957 and currently includes 49 physicians across 24 specialties. Its main location is across the street from BayCare’s Winter Haven Hospital, according to a Nov. 2 news release.
Many of Gessler Clinic’s physicians already practice at that hospital, in addition to the Winter Haven Women’s Hospital. Through this acquisition, the medical group joins the region’s largest provider of behavioral health and pediatric services.
