UPMC names president of physicians group

Oscar Marroquin, MD, has been named senior vice president of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, president of the UPMC physician services division, and president of University of Pittsburgh Physicians.

Dr. Marroquin currently serves as UMPC’s chief healthcare data and analytics officer, according to a July 19 news release. He also treats patients as a practicing cardiologist at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute.

In this new role, Dr. Marroquin will oversee UPP and Community Medicine, which includes more than 5,000 physicians and staff.
