Here are 13 newly appointed presidents and CEOs reported by Becker's since Jan. 3:

S. Yaseen Zia, MD, a radiation oncologist at Pardee UNC Health Care in Hendersonville, N.C., has been appointed by the governor to serve on the North Carolina Advisory Committee on Cancer Coordination and Control.

Bryan Kelly, MD, will become the first surgeon to be appointed president and CEO of Hospital for Special Surgery, an academic medical system focused on musculoskeletal health based in New York City.

Julie Park, MD, has been appointed chair of the department of oncology for St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Ajay Gopal, MD, has been named the Stephen Petersdorf Endowed Chair in cancer care at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.

Mary Billstrand, MD, has been named chair of the department of anesthesiology in the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis. She will assume the role April 1.

Greg Ford, PhD, was selected to serve as the inaugural dean of Amhurst, N.Y.-based Daemon University's College of Health Professions. 

Zócalo Health, a Seattle-based healthcare provider group designed for Latino patients, appointed Sarah Lopez, MD, its chief medical officer.
