VarmX, a biotechnology company focused on the development of therapies to reverse blood coagulation, named Jeffery Lawson, MD, PhD, its chief scientific officer. 

Portland-based Maine Medical Partners has added four new specialty physicians to its team, which is currently the largest in the state, according to a March 7 press release. 

Bruce Gewertz, MD, has been named vice dean of clinical development and faculty affairs at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He will take on this role in addition to his current position as surgeon-in-chief for the medical center.
