ModMed awards 4 healthcare leaders with inaugural HERO award

Healthcare technology company ModMed has announced the four recipients of its inaugural Healthcare Excellence in Refining Operations, or HERO, award.

The award is intended to celebrate leaders in practice operations who have used ModMed’s innovative solutions to elevate the practice, according to an Oct. 24 press release. HERO award winners were nominated by peers in the field. 

The four healthcare leaders who received ModMed’s inaugural award include: 

Tammy Sims, revenue cycle director at Digestive Care Center (Evansville, Ind.)

Kate Koltzau, billing and patient relations supervisor at the Eye Center (Fayetteville, Ark.)

Katrina Simmons, clinical department supervisor at the Eye Center (Fayetteville, Ark.)

Yta Toribio-Hernandez, vice president of revenue cycle management at Schweiger Dermatology Group (New York City)
