Physician Roy Schoenberg, MD, will become the new senior vice president of Amazon Health Services effective July 1.
Dr. Schoenberg co-founded Amwell with his brother, Ido Schoenberg, building it into one of the largest telehealth platforms in the country before stepping down as president and co-CEO in 2024. Most recently, he founded Aileen, a health tech startup offering an AI-powered health companion for older adults.
Beyond his entrepreneurial work, Dr. Schoenberg chairs the MIT Sloan HSI healthcare advisory board. He also serves on the American Heart Association’s telehealth board and the Mass General Brigham Patient Safety Research and Practice board.
Dr. Schoenberg will succeed Neil Lindsay, senior vice president of Amazon Health Services, who is stepping down after more than 15 years with the company. Mr. Lindsay will support Dr. Schoenberg during the transition and remain in an advisory role through the end of 2026.

I’m looking forward to working with Roy to continue to build and innovate in our healthcare business.”
