Dr. Cynthia Matossian named chief medical officer of Visiox Pharma

Cynthia Matossian, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of Visiox Pharma, an ophthalmic drug company.

Dr. Matossian will develop medical affairs strategies for Visiox, forging strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s portfolio, according to an Oct. 13 press release. 

Dr. Matossian is the founder of Hamilton, N.J.-based Matossian Eye Associates, which opened in 1987 with two employees and has since grown to 14 physicians and over 90 employees. 

“Dr. Matossian is an experienced and enthusiastic eye care leader, dedicated to providing compassionate care and advancing innovation,” Ryan Bleeks, CEO of Visiox, said in the release. “Her clinical expertise and proven leadership, as well as her extensive medical and clinical research experience, will further strengthen our efforts and support the progress of our product pipeline.”
