Managing group practices with multiple physicians comes with the careful balancing act of managing each individual physician while maintaining overall practice cohesion and efficiency.

Practice Manager of Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery (Gainesville): [So] much of a multiple physician group practice involves managing the complexities of each individual provider and his or her schedule and how that relates to the group schedule as a whole. Each provider has blinders to his or her schedule and resource needs and not necessarily how these needs relate to the group schedule and the allocation of group resources.  Managing the different shared group resources between each provider effectively is what keeps everything flowing smoothly and keeps everyone happy.
