Here are four physicians that were either appointed to or exited CEO roles at hospitals and health systems during February, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, announced plans to retire Dec. 31 as president and CEO of Vanderbilt Health and dean of Vanderbilt University’s school of medicine in Nashville, Tenn.
2. Patrick Frias, MD, will exit his role as co-president and CEO of Rady Children’s Health in Southern California to become the next CEO of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
3. Jason Mouzakes, MD, was named president and CEO of Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center Hospital.
4. Kevin Tabb, MD, plans to step down in one year as president and CEO of Cambridge, Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health.
