Here are three physicians recently appointed to leadership positions, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Geraldine Ong, MD, a cardiologist and clinical investigator, was appointed medical director of NYU Langone Health’s Aortic Center in New York City. Dr. Org has also been named a clinical associate professor in the department of medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She joins NYU Langone from St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, where she led the aortic clinic and served as the interventional echocardiographic lead for the structural heart program.
2. Karen Pinsky, MD, was appointed CEO of Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pa. Dr. Pinsky has served as interim CEO of the hospital since July 2024 after five years as the hospital’s chief medical officer. Prior to that, she served for 15 years as the medical director of newborn and pediatric services at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania Care Network with CCH and became the hospital’s chief medical information officer in 2008. She expanded her role as chief quality and medical information officer in 2018.
3. Robert Lookstein, MD, was appointed president of the Society of Interventional Radiology on April 1. Dr. Lookstein is an interventional radiologist and professor of radiology and surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
