More than 35,000 physicians became board-certified in 2022, with a record 975,000 physicians nationwide now certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties, the board's annual report found.
Of the 975,000 physicians, ABMS member boards certify in 40 specialties and 89 subspecialties.
