4 physician groups to leave Proliance

Three physician groups left Seattle-based Proliance Surgeons network in July, the group confirmed to Becker's.

Here's what physicians need to know:

1. Northwest Women's Healthcare, a seven-physician group, Seattle Obstetrics & Gynecology Group, a six physician group, and Puyallup (Wash.) Surgical Consultants, a seven-physician group, parted ways with the organization.

2. Additionally, Orthopedic Physician Associates, known as OPA Ortho, is also planning to leave Proliance on Oct. 1 to operate as a private practice.

3. Both Northwest Women's Healthcare and Seattle Obstetrics & Gynecology Group are now independent practices. Physicians at Puyallup Surgical Consultants have taken on new positions within the market or left the state for new opportunities, the organization said.

4. "In the current year, we are experiencing positive financial growth, maintaining a steadfast focus on our robust strategic plan, and upholding our position as the leading independent orthopedic and ENT physician practice in the Pacific Northwest," Proliance said in a statement to Becker's.

5. Other Proliance groups have recently added multiple physicians, including orthopedists and ENT specialists.
