The council — an advisory board appointed by the president and charged with making science, technology and innovation policy recommendations — has argued that patient safety should be made a national priority by establishing a White House-led transformational effort on the matter.
In order to achieve this, the Biden administration should appoint a patient safety administrator and launch a national patient safety team that includes people from populations that are most affected by the issue, according to the council’s recommendations.
