Dr. Conrad will serve as the location’s medical director and Ms. Asta will serve as clinical manager, according to an April 27 news release from the health system.

Dr. Conrad, a pediatric emergency care specialist, has more than 10 years of leadership experience at multiple Arizona hopsitals. Ms. Asta most recently served as clinical manager of the health system’s specialty and urgent care centers in the state’s West Valley area.

The 35,000-square-foot department, set to open in July, cost $33.5 million and will have 40 treatment rooms, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
