Dr. Luna Mehrain appointed Maternova chief medical officer

Luna Mehrain, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of maternal and infant health company Maternova.

Dr. Mehrain is an OB-GYN who specializes in maternal and neonatal health. She will assess the safety and efficacy of Maternova’s diagnostic and therapeutic innovations. 

Dr. Mehrain has been in the maternal health field for over 20 years, working at Population Services International and the International Planned Parenthood Federation. 

She has also held clinic positions across the U.S., Germany, India, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone. 

“I’m excited to be part of the Maternova team as we shape the future and make a difference in people’s lives. By accelerating access to effective, evidence-based medical products, we are able to solve challenges preventing worldwide quality health care today that we were unable to solve yesterday,” Dr. Mehrain said in an Oct. 12 press release.
