UT Southwestern Medical Center names physician leader

Jonathan Efron, MD, has been appointed executive vice president for health system affairs and will lead the clinical operations of UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Efron currently serves as senior vice president for Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Office of Physicians, in addition to serving as president of the Johns Hopkins Clinical Practice Association and interim vice dean for clinical affairs, according to a Sept. 13 news release.

Following his start as executive vice president in December, Dr. Efron will oversee the UT Southwestern physicians, who provide nearly 5 million outpatient visits annually at the medical center.
