San Ramon, Calif.-based Hill Physicians Medical Group has agreed to have the Santa Clara County Independent Practice Association join its enterprise, according to an Oct. 29 news release.

As part of the deal, Hill Physicians would also acquire the IPA’s management services organization, Pacific Partners Management Services, from an affiliate of HCA Healthcare. The addition would bring about 1,000 physicians and other providers into Hill Physicians’ network and give it a presence in all nine Bay Area counties.

Hill Physicians is Northern California’s largest independent physician association, with more than 6,000 physicians serving more than 400,000 patients across 14 counties. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals, and financial terms weren’t disclosed.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
