The new scholarship will offer $100,000 across seven awards to offset the cost of medical school for students participating in the program, according to a Nov. 17 news release. The scholarships will be awarded over the next four years to fourth-year students.

The program was developed in partnership with Morehead (Ky.) State University and St. Claire HealthCare, also in Morehead, and trains up to 12 students annually who intend to practice medicine in a rural area upon completion of their residency, the release said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care. Apply for complimentary registration now.
