The program will allow physicians to rotate between the Loma Linda medical center and the county public hospital and add to their experience in a variety of specialties, including cardiology, neonatal care and rheumatology.

The two health systems have partnered before, with Loma Linda engaging in resident physician rotations at the Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley since 2011.

The program was approved in a unanimous vote for the $34.54 million compact, which will expire June 30, 2027, the report said.
