According to the report, the new building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027, and leaders told Live 5 that the mission of the expansion is to combat a projected 3,500 physician shortage by the end of the next decade.
Terrence Styer, MD, said that the addition of the 180,000-square-foot, $175 million building will create a more hands-on learning environment. The facility will have larger classrooms and 360-degree chairs and white boards more fit for small group sessions.
