Envision Physician Services to lay off 90 Florida physicians, healthcare providers

Envision Physician Services, which is owned by Envision Healthcare, recently lost its contractual relationship with several New York hospital clients, resulting in a negative financial impact for the physician staffing firm.

The layoffs also follow Envision Healthcare receiving a corporate credit rating downgrade from Moody’s Investor Service, which warned in late 2022 Envision could file for bankruptcy or restructure, the report said.

The laid-off employees were not represented by a union and include physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
