56% of medical group leaders cite staffing as biggest barrier to productivity

Staffing is one of the biggest productivity roadblocks medical groups face today, according to an MGMA Stat poll.

The April 18 poll asked medical group leaders about the roadblocks that keep them from achieving higher productivity in their organizations. The poll included 570 responses.

Here is what medical group leaders cited as their organization’s barriers to productivity, according to the MGMA Stat poll:

Staffing: 56 percent

Administrative burdens: 23 percent

Patient scheduling: 13 percent

Other: 8 percent
