Pennsylvania physician killed in plane crash

A pilot killed in a plane crash July 20 was a physician from Lebanon, Pa., Local 21 News reported July 21.

Musaddiq Nazeeri, MD, operated Nazeeri Family Medicine in Lebanon, Pa., and was described by colleagues as a “compassionate caregiver” and a “pillar” of the practice in a July 20 Facebook post. He had practiced in the city for more than 20 years and had been a pilot for decades. According to the report, he served as vice president of the Northeast Chapter of the Flying Physicians Association.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Dr. Nazeeri was confirmed to be the sole occupant of the plane at the time of the accident.
