Nurse practitioner was named the second best job in the U.S. for 2023, according to a new list from U.S. News & World Report, joining 11 other medical careers in the top 25.

Saral Mehra, MD, and Dr. Manju Prasad received Yale Cancer Center Awards for Excellence in Clinical Care for their work at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, Conn. 

Caroline Majors, MD, has been awarded the annual Physician Summit Award by managed care company Superior HealthPlan.

Kaiser Permanente selected Thuy Melvin, MD, to lead the group's Northern Virginia division as physician-in-chief.

Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Wichita added Kimberly Long, PhD, and Davin Ninan, DO, to its leadership team to serve as chief administrative officer and chief academic officer, respectively.

Mercy Northwest Arkansas in Rogers has added 32 new physicians to its team in the second phase of its new growth plan, according to a Jan. 10 report from the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
