Ohio physician who worked for TikTok star surrenders license

A physician who practiced alongside plastic surgeon and TikTok celebrity Katharine Grawe, MD, has surrendered his Ohio medical license, The Columbus Dispatch reported March 13.

Carlos Domingo, MD, who was employed at Powell, Ohio-based Roxy Plastic Surgery, gave up his license Feb. 14 in the wake of allegations he "failed to conform to minimal standards of care of similar practitioners," medical board documents said, according to the report.

Dr. Grawe, known online as Dr. Roxy, lost her license in July after the state board alleged that she endangered patients by pausing to respond to TikTok viewer's questions while procedures were ongoing. One patient allegedly suffered from a perforated bowel and a serious bacterial infection following a liposuction procedure performed by Dr. Grawe that was livestreamed.

According to the report, Roxy Plastic Surgery also did not have a $300 certificate it needed from the Ohio Department of Health to operate as an ASC. Additionally, Dr. Domingo is named as a co-defendant in at least six active civil lawsuits and two closed cases against Dr. Grawe and Roxy Plastic Surgery.
