The program will focus on the analysis of genetic information in human cells for application in clinical care, according to a Jan. 3 news release from New York City-based NYU Langone Health. The students will learn to identify and interpret genetic codes of patients to quantify disease risks and predict an individual’s response to treatments.

Aravinda Chakravarti, PhD, director of the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics at NYU Langone, and Kelly Ruggles, PhD, director of masters education at the Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at NYU Langone, will serve as senior advisers and administrators of the program, according to the release.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
