The program offered $105,000 as incentive for the two new physicians, who will be committed to Niagara Falls for the next five years as a requirement of the program. Multiple communities within the region offer financial incentives to recruit and retain physicians.
Last year, the program recruited six new physicians for the city of Niagara Falls alone, and 19 throughout the region, the report said.
