New York hospital names physician president

Justin Lundbye, MD, was named president of Catholic Health’s Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, N.Y.

Dr. Lundbye, a cardiologist, previously served as senior vice president and CEO of Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital, according to an April 2 news release from the Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based health system. 

He also works as a professor of medicine at Quinnipiac University in New Haven, Conn.

In his new role, Dr. Lundbye will oversee all of Good Samaritan’s clinical areas and operations, according to the release.
