While 74 percent of hospitalists said they were either very or somewhat happy before the COVID-19 pandemic, only 15 percent report feeling very or somewhat happy in 2023, according to Medcape’s 2023 “Hospitalist Lifestyle and Happiness Report,” which was drawn from a survey of over 9,200 physicians across 29 specialties.
