How do employed physicians feel about their autonomy?

Half of employed physicians are very satisfied or satisfied with their autonomy, according to Medscape’s “Employed Physicians Report 2023.”

The report included responses from 1,003 physicians across more than 29 specialties. Responses were collected from March 10 to May 31. 

Here is how employed physicians feel about their autonomy, according to Medscape:

Very satisfied/satisfied: 50 percent

Neutral: 28 percent

Very unsatisfied/unsatisfied: 23 percent
