Dr. Lawrence is an interventional cardiologist and medical director of Joseph, Mich.-based Corewell Health South’s Center for Better Health and Wellness in Benton Harbor, Mich. He is also the medical director of health equity for the health system.
Before joining Corewell Health in 2021, Dr. Lawrence served as medical director of Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists and chief of cardiology at Research Medical Center, both in Kansas City, Missouri.
He will lead the multidisciplinary care team using clinical tools developed by the American Heart Association and American Medical Association, focusing on lifestyle changes to improve hypertension control with high-risk groups at the Benton Harbor facility following its expansion later this year.
