Stephan Gevorkian, 44, has been charged with five felony counts of practicing medicine without certification, according to an April 24 news release from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Mr. Gevorkian is accused of falsely practicing medicine for several years, offering treatment for serious conditions including cancer, out of Pathways Medical in North Hollywood, Calif., which he owned and operated.
An undercover agent sought consultation from him Nov. 17 at his medical office, which conducts blood tests on patients and provides treatments for conditions including viral infections and cancer. The agent found that Mr. Gevorkian failed to address abnormal levels of a hormone in their blood test that indicates a serious medical condition, the release said.
