The insurer added New York City-based Eden Health, Lawrence, Mass.-based On Belay Health Solutions and Chicago-based VillageMD, according to a May 16 news release from Blue Cross Blue Shield. These additions seek to address the primary care physician shortage due to clinicians leaving the field and a rise in patient demand.
Blue Cross Blue Shield members can now access virtual and in-person services through these physician groups, including telehealth, chronic disease care, mental health support and care navigation support, the release said.
