She has six key tips for other physicians looking to build a strong social media presence, according to a Dec. 19 report from Medscape.
1. Use your social media channels to showcase what makes your practice unique. Use things like before and after photos or office photos to impress viewers.
2. Make it interesting. Use language that anyone can understand, not just fellow medical professionals.
3. Be authentic and show your real personality.
4. Avoid hot-button issues and be careful when running any sponsorships or partnerships.
5. Be mindful of the time investment. It can take a lot to run and cultivate a successful social media account.
6. Do not worry if social media is not right for you, or your practice.
