Here are four physicians joining new practices since Dec. 7:
- Ather Malik, DO, joined Indiana-based Northwest Medical Group, the Northwest Indiana Times reported Dec. 15. Dr. Malik specializes in primary care and wellness and is a board-certified family medicine physician. Northwest Medical Group operates hospitals in Valparaiso, Knox and LaPorte and employs more than 700 physicians.
- James Weagley, MD, joined Henry Mayo Newhall Primary Care in Valencia, Cal., according to a Dec. 15 news release. Dr. Weagley comes to Henry Mayo with more than three decades of experience caring for patients in the Santa Clarita Valley area. Henry Mayo Newhall Primary Care opened in August as the first primary care practice at the hospital.
- Jason Weisstein, MD, joined the Orthopaedic & Rheumatologic Center at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health in Stuart, Fla., according to a Dec. 15 news release. Dr. Weisstein is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement and revision surgery and will offer orthopedic oncology care.
- Scott Helberg, MD, will join Yankton (S.D.) Medical Clinic on Jan. 3, according to a Dec. 7 news release. Dr. Helberg is a board-certified pulmonologist with 15 years of medical experience and also holds board certifications in internal medicine and critical care medicine.
