3 physicians join new Hugh Chatham Health practice

Meg Arboleda, MD, Brianna Hitchner, DO, and Jona Lamphier, DO, will now practice at Hugh Chatham Health-Family Medicine and Obstetrics in Elkin, N.C., the Elkin Tribune reported March 1.

Dr. Arboleda previously served adult, pediatric and obstetric patients at Waco (Texas) Family Medicine. She then received an additional year of training in obstetrics and women’s health through Christ Community Health Services in Memphis, Tenn., before joining Hugh Chatham. Dr. Arboleda specializes in comprehensive care, women’s health, pediatrics and global health. 

Dr. Hitchner previously provided inpatient and outpatient care at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, N.M. She specializes in preventive care, multigenerational family care, osteopathic manipulative treatment and acupuncture.

Dr. Lamphier has been with Hugh Chatham Health Medical Center, also in Elkin, since May 2020, where she is currently the medical director of the newborn nursery and practices prenatal and obstetrical care. She has previously served as an outpatient family medicine physician and a hospitalist for the facility. Dr. Lamphier specializes in obstetric and newborn care, pediatrics and integrative medicine. 

The practice officially opened Jan. 17.
