Dr. Gray most recently served as Elevance’s chief health equity officer, according to an Aug. 1 news release. Before joining Elevance, he practiced as a gastroenterologist and medical director of healthy communities at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
As president, Dr. Gray will oversee the Wellpoint health plan operations in Maryland, including one of the state’s largest Medicaid managed care health plans, which includes approximately 330,000 members, the release said.
